The Newborn Experience
Newborn sessions are for documenting your precious little one during their first couple weeks of life. The tiny little toes, their precious yawn, even their little fuzzy hair - I want to capture ALL those fleeting moments. Trust me, my first baby is EIGHTEEN now and I just can't quite understand how that happened so quickly!
I will come to your home and you won't need to do a thing except for provide the baby. Parents, siblings, and even fur babies are welcomed to be included!

I'm so glad you're here! The first step is to say "hello" through my contact form and telling me a little bit about you, your due date, and your vision for your session. I will respond within 24 hours. In the meantime, enjoy looking through the rest of my site!

2. Schedule it
The best time to schedule your in-home newborn session is ideally during your pregnancy. I can only take a limited number of newborn sessions per month to ensure my availability and quality of time together. After we connect, I will send over my portrait collections and a contract for you to review and sign. The next step in securing your tentative due date with me is paying a separate $200 session fee which covers my time, talent, travel, post processing of images, styling & ordering guidance. Sessions taking place outside a 60-mile radius of Monument, CO is subject to an additional travel fee.
3. your newborn has arrived!
When your little one arrives, send me an email or a text so that we can finalize your session date and time in the comfort of your home. Your session should ideally occur within the first 10-14 days of life before they lose their womb-like, sleepy behavior. With my style being more lifestyle anyway, I'm still happy to work with an older newborn too.
4. preparing for your session
Working in your home means that I will find and work where there is the best natural light. That often means the living room, nursery, or master bedroom. This may mean some light decluttering on your end but, other than that, you provide the baby and I'll take care of the rest. If you'd like to lay out some neutral blankets or outfits please do so. I'm happy to bring along a few accessories as well. Timeless lifestyle images look best with less 'stuff' and when there's more emphasis on baby and family interactions. The session, on average, will last approximately 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
5. after your session
Your images will be carefully retouched and ready for viewing in a private online gallery 2 weeks after your session. You have the option to shop my online store of wall art, table displays, and other memorable keepsake products.

I love capturing the tiniest of details. Those itty bitty toes, sweet pursed lips, and the tufts of hair all over their newborn body. It's all so very precious and worth being captured.
Please consider being in at least one of the photos even if you may not be feeling your best. You won't regret doing it but you might regret not. Those fur babies are welcome in the photograph too!
