The Pinery is southern Colorado’s premier destination for weddings, celebrations, and corporate events. Built in 2013, this venue is the vision of Mitchell Yellen, owner of Altitude Hospitality Group. One day, as Mitchell was driving down I-25, he noticed an old, run-down building he felt God was guiding him to. He purchased the building, but the economic recession in 2008 slowed his renovation plans.
Demolition and renovations began in 2008, and the 22,000-square-foot venue finally opened in October of 2013. This property and the surrounding area have seen remarkable growth and rejuvenation. The Pinery at The Hill has become the city’s most-loved wedding venue.

The Sweet Water Chapel features wide-plank hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, and hand-forged iron chandeliers and can accommodate up to 200 guests. Indeed, this intimate space is ideal for a wedding ceremony.
The 2,500-square-foot Cascade Ballroom is an exquisite indoor banquet space with lots of flexibility. It can accommodate up to 225 seated guests and features hand-forged iron chandeliers, rich hardwood paneling, and wide-plank hardwood floors. Additionally, a gorgeous spiral staircase is the focal point of the ballroom. At the same time, floor-to-ceiling windows provide great views of the beautiful city skyline.
The elegant Bella Vista Ballroom consists of 1,500 square feet of banquet space. It includes an outdoor Terrace that provides panoramic views of the city. The adjoining Churchill Library features rich mahogany paneling and is an excellent addition to the event area. The Bella Vista Ballroom features floor-to-ceiling windows, a spiral staircase, and hardwood floors.
Getting Ready Spaces
The Pinery provides two getting-ready spaces in the hours leading up to the ceremony. The venue offers a spacious, elegantly decorated Bridal Suite with ample lighting, mirrors, and marble countertops. Furthermore, The Evergreen Room, located on the second level, offers unrivaled views of the city skyline and contains a luxurious private bathroom.
The Groom’s Suite is a place where grooms and their guests can enjoy top-notch treatment before the ceremony. They can enjoy food and refreshments in The Bowline Lounge, which features a private deck, a modern fireplace, and a private bathroom.
Other event spaces available for use include the Veranda, a tranquil outdoor space with breathtaking mountain views, and the Churchill Library, a distinguished room that features rich mahogany wood paneling. The Veranda is the ideal space for cocktail hour and can accommodate up to 100 guests.
