Colorado Mountain Doulas (CMD) is an agency that pairs expectant families and families with newborns with the perfect doula for their needs. CMD founder Jenn Leonard became a doula after having her first son and realizing how important it is for new families to have extra support throughout such a massive life change! She became a certified birth and postpartum doula herself in 2011 and shortly thereafter created CMD to expand her network of passionate prenatal and postpartum support.
As a prospective family in need of doula services, you can contact CMD at any time and expect a same-day response with information about pricing and packages. Then, you’ll meet with (or have a call with) Jenn, who will take the time to get to know you, your family, and your doula’s expectations. From there, you’ll be matched with a qualified, caring doula team that can help you achieve your goals. There are several different kinds of doulas available to help you throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond, and Colorado Mountain Doulas can match you with someone who offers the exact services you need. Their birth doulas will be available to you in the last few weeks of your pregnancy and by your side throughout your labor and delivery. They serve as birth advocates and cheerleaders, making sure you feel physically and emotionally supported while giving birth. A birth doula attends home birth, hospital births, medicated or unmedicated births, vaginal births, cesarean births – if there’s a baby coming, your doula will be there to guide you! Sibling doulas are also available to help care for older children, particularly when you go into labor. Labor and delivery can be nerve-wracking for kids, too! Postpartum doulas provide in-home support once your baby is home.
