Once you become a parent, you quickly realize summer time is only relaxing for the kids in the family. All of a sudden, your time is split between your everyday responsibilities and trying to keep your child entertained as they complain about boredom for the millionth time. This is when a splash pad is going to be your best friend. This is the perfect destination any time you want to head out, cool off, and let your child release all of that energy! As a Colorado Springs family photographer, I love working with parents to plan sessions so they can create memories all year long. If you are looking for splash pads in Colorado Springs, here are the ones you need to try out!
4540 Fenton Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80916
Panorama Park is a seriously gorgeous space that offers some of the best views of the mountains! This lot has a bit of everything, including a bike park, a youth area, an event lawn, and even a climbing boulder. Their splash pad is nestled right by the playground, giving your child spouts where they can cool off before running around some more.

4290 Deerfield Hills Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80916
Deerfield Hills Community Center was founded to be a space where people of all ages could gather and grow. Outside of the building, they feature a splash pad with features perfect for all kids. Your child can run through the funnels and jump over the spouts as you stay dry on the neighboring benches.
N Tejon St, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903
The Uncle Wilber Fountain is one of my favorite landmarks around the city. When you pull up, you’ll see a blue dome in the midst of concrete-level water jets. Then, every 15 minutes, you’ll hear a chime followed by a musician emerging from beneath the blue dome, accompanied by his pet monkey. Part art feature, part playground, this is one of the best-kept secrets in the entire city!
126 Cimino Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903
The Julie Penrose Fountain is another art feature your child is going to love! This public park has a large circular installation that rises high above the ground. Your child can hang out in the shadows and splash around in the fountain as you take in the views of the city.

3555 Briargate Pkwy, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80920
John Venezia Park is a ranch-themed playground destined to create your child’s new favorite adventure. Over at the splash pad, kids of all ages can chill out while ducking between the animal sprayers or climbing aboard a tractor. Meanwhile, the nearby silo spews water from the top, making it a favorite destination for older kids.
If you are looking for the best way to keep your cool this summer, I know you are going to adore these splash pads in Colorado Springs. With all of these destinations, you can have a season you’ll never forget!
