Sertich Ice Center
Ice skating can be an excellent activity for the entire family! Kids and kids at heart can enjoy gliding around the ice at Sertich Ice Center, with its NHL regulation-size ice surface and spacious bleacher seating. At the epicenter of the City of Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation, and Cultural services, they provide ice sports activities and other social opportunities for families in their community.
Additionally, if you are new to ice skating (or hockey!), you can rent your skates from the Sertich Ice Center. If you or your kiddos hope to improve your skating skills, they also offer private and group lessons. Ice skating is a fantastic way to:
- embrace chilly winter weather,
- improve important skills like balance and spatial awareness, and
- strengthen core muscles.

Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center
The Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center gives guests a one-of-a-kind, up-close encounter with various unique species of wolves, coyotes, and foxes. Their mission is to educate the public about the importance of conserving and preserving our forests, land, and water that support our world’s wildlife, flora, and fauna.
The Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center has been providing natural habitats, and exceptional lives for all of their rescued animals. Each animal has been entrusted to their care due to the inability to live on their own in the wild. The Center offers several tours and encounters for its visitors, including:
- The Standard Tour, where you’ll see wolves, coyotes, and foxes and learn about the center’s history;

- The Kids Tour, designed to introduce young people to adaptations, animal identification, and the traits of a wolf.

Royal Gorge Bridge
If you are the type of family that loves to adventure together, Royal Gorge Bridge is the perfect place to explore! Home of America’s highest suspension bridge, 956 feet over the Arkansas River, you and your family can carefully walk the 1,257 wooden planks from one side of the gorge to the other – a feat not for the faint of heart!
The park also includes several exciting attractions, including the Via Ferrata course. This guided climbing adventure safely leads visitors through massive granite walls on a unique cable system. Additionally, their thrilling Royal Rush Skycoaster is located on the gorge’s rim and blends skydiving and hang gliding.
You’ll take in some incredible views as you soar up to 50 miles per hour, 1200 feet over the edge of the Royal Gorge! The park includes:
