Your wedding day should be everything you’ve ever imagined it would be. Maybe you’ve dreamt of a lakeside ceremony, a reception with majestic mountain views, and an elegant country club affair – a tall order to find a venue that provides all three. But you should be able to have it all! That’s where the Perry Park Country Club wedding venue comes in.
Perry Park Country Club is a stately private country club with a beautifully maintained golf course on Lake Wauconda’s quiet shores. The main clubhouse is formerly a beautifully historic manor house. With breathtaking views, reputable fine dining, and helpful staff, it could just be the venue of your dreams.
The history of Park Perry Country Club is almost as old as the history of Colorado itself! Park Perry Ranch was originally an early stagecoach stop in the mid-1800s on the Denver to Colorado Springs route. In 1870, John D. Perry, president of the Kansas Pacific Railroad, purchased the 4,000-acre property that would eventually become Park Perry Ranch.
Perry Park has been a resort venue since 1888. One of the early investors, Charles Roberts, built the original Roberts Home, now the clubhouse for Perry Park Country Club. Initially established in 1969, the country club includes a beautiful golf course, now the property’s crown jewel. People come from all over to visit the area’s unparalleled beauty and hit a round of golf to pass the time.
The Perry Park Country Club wedding venue has several versatile spaces to accommodate your ideal wedding. Their outdoor ceremony space overlooks Lake Wauconda, surrounded by glorious mountains that, should you time it right, perfectly frame a setting sun. It’s hard to resist the beauty of this lakeside spot. Still, if you are interested in an indoor ceremony, they have several indoor spaces that accommodate a smaller wedding. Simultaneously, they can always rent a tent to cover the lower deck.
The lakeside lower terrace is useable for an outdoor reception, so you and your guests can enjoy dancing under the stars and watching the light of the moon reflected on Lake Wauconda.
Once the Roberts Home, the clubhouse is rustic and stately, with elegant architectural features that will add a unique aesthetic to your wedding. Their indoor reception space accommodates up to 200 guests and has an adjoining covered deck ideal for cocktail hour. It’s also possible to dine indoors in their banquet room but take the party outside on the lower deck for drinks and dancing!
There are well-appointed bridal suites for use up to three hours before the ceremony. The on-site coordinator will also work with you to preorder snack and drink options. That way, you and your bridal party can eat and drink as you prepare for the big day. The bridal suites have plenty of natural light, so your photographer can capture plenty of radiant photos as you prepare for your wedding day.
As part of your Perry Park Country Club wedding reservation, you’ll be able to take portraits of you and your partner on the golf course before or after the ceremony. Your guests can enjoy cocktail hour on the covered deck while pictures take place. Their golf course is lush and green, perfect for outdoor shots. You’ll have a dedicated staff member to transport you to the ideal photo locations via golf cart.
The golf course is just one option for gorgeous photos. Lake Wauconda is an incredible backdrop for elegant pictures with an organic, natural feel with tree-dappled mountains behind the pristine, calm lake.
Unique craggy red rock formations make for dramatic portraits, earthy and unusual. Of course, the expansive Colorado sky is ever-changing with beautiful clouds. Closer to the clubhouse, climbing greenery grows on the walls, perfect for bridal portraits and striking bridal party shots.
Perry Park Country Club’s executive chef will help you curate the perfect menu, including appetizers and salad options. Choose between a buffet or a plated dinner. The venue provides in-house catering to make life easier. However you are also welcome to bring in your caterer – but you still have to meet Perry Park’s food and beverage minimum on top of outside catering costs.
They also provide all of their alcohol and bartenders. Still, it’s easy for them to order specialty alcohol and fulfill any fine wine requests you may have. Both cash and open bar options are available to fit your budget needs. Plus, when you book an hourly bar, you’ll receive a complimentary Champagne toast!
For your reception, tables, chairs, and linens are part of the venue’s cost. You are also welcome to bring in any decorations to help your wedding dreams become a reality. However, plan on bringing in a few extra hands to help set up, as the decorative setup is not part of the wedding package. You’ll have access to your setup tables three hours before the event, so there is plenty of time to transform them into your dream venue!
Perry Park Country Club wedding venue has a preferred vendor list, but they are just recommendations. You are welcome to use your vendors for services like photography, videography, florals, music and entertainment, and more.
They are also happy to host your rehearsal dinner, but it is considered an event, so book it early! Their events calendar can fill up quickly.
If you have your heart set on a Colorado countryside wedding, the Perry Park Country Club wedding venue could be the perfect place for you. Between the mountains, Lake Wauconda, and its rustically elegant country club, it is a gorgeous place to begin your married life with the love of your dreams. It would be an honor to join you on this incredible day.
I look forward to discussing how we can take advantage of Perry Park’s natural beauty for your wedding photos!
